在传统的占星学中，4宫代表给与养分的母亲，10宫代表着和社会相联系并且有权威的父亲。随着占星学的发展以及和心理学的联系越来越密切，4宫和10宫都有父母的成分，关键是对于盘主而言，哪个家长对他的心理产生了父亲般“严格”的影响，或者母亲般“哺育”的影响。现代人很难区分开来家里父母的职能，所以看盘的时候，都要考虑进去。 伦敦占星学院的教程里有一段原文，我在此贴出： It is true to say that the 4th is a parental house (as is its opposite, the 10th) but whether we identify it with our actual mother or father is a matter for individual discernment.
There is a large body of thought that supports the 4th house (and IC) as more indicative of the father image and relationship, despite Cancer being the 4th sign, ruled by the Moon.
Certainly, both Cancerian and lunar symbolism connect strongly to the themes of the 4th, so it is easy to see their relevance in this realm.
But the situation does not have to be either/or.
Rather, we can consider a both/and approach.
