补充一下本书作者Natasha Helvin的介绍:
Natasha Helvin is an author, spiritualist, hereditary witch, and priestess in the Haitian Vodou tradition. She is a passionate researcher of tradition and religion and simply a woodland creature who feeds on folklore and magic!
Natasha is involved in researching the paranormal; she uses her gift to communicate and help bring answers and relief to people. She has traveled worldwide to help people deal with the grief of loved ones, making connections with and delivering messages from people who are no longer living to those who still are. In many cases, Natasha performs a spiritual clearing of haunted houses.
Having a passion for discovery, learning, and listening, Natasha is also passionate about clinical psychology. Her empathy for and understanding of others strengthens her ability to persevere in psychology with heightened curiosity regarding mental disorders' genetic nature. It has enhanced her awareness of others who struggle with schizophrenia and personality disorders. Natasha is exploring the relationship between demonic influences and mental disorders.
Natasha grew up in the Soviet state, in a secluded small village among dense woodland and endless rivers. With a deep-rooted connection to the mysterious natural world, Natasha inherited her passion for magic (manipulation of the energies) from her mother and previous generations. She learned the ancient secrets of magic, healing, and the boundless potential of the human spirit from her family. As a child, Natasha saw her grandmother and mother use magic and healing remedies in their everyday lives to help neighbors, friends, and anyone simply seeking help.
Natasha does not believe in karma, dogma, or divine judgment. All these come from monotheistic religions, and Witchcraft (Universal laws of Nature) is not!
In fact, not theism at all! It transcends the definition of religion! Religion necessarily involves worshipping someone. In this case, the correct term will be a worldview. Witchcraft is a system of certain theoretical and practical knowledge based on universal laws. Worldview, which relies on studying objective laws and not slipping into vague, debilitating statements such as "God works in mysterious ways." It is the philosophy of action, not passivity.
Society and religion have conditioned and instructed us about what is right and what is wrong, what is real and what is false, to the point that we have forgotten a fundamental truth: all life is full of mystery, and the only way to understand it is to learn about the mystery. In Witchcraft, we do not worship, worshiping in fact, contradicts the essence of Witchcraft, but instead, we honor!
Natasha tends to trust in the experience that goes back many thousands of years. Traditionally, man was in harmony with the universe, nature, and his essence; he knew how to draw strength from both the outer and inner worlds.
Natasha believes in your ability to change the world by starting from within yourself.
She believes that you can bring forth peace by first learning to love and appreciate yourself and your ancestors.
She believes that rules are not arbitrary but made by you in accordance with your own beliefs. She adheres to the wisdom of her own voice because she knows the greatest gift in the universe is free will—ultimate and omnipotent— bound only by love and ameliorated by the practice of magic. |
